The voices of the trees

    There are so many things we can learn from trees! In this book, Fernando Reimers, Professor of International Education at Harvard University, and Elisa Guerra, named "Best Educator in Latin America and the Caribbean" by the IDB, come together to create a series of six stories in different cities and regions of the Americas, in which trees are the protagonists.
"The voices of the trees" is available digitally or in paperback, in three languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese, all published by Pearson. The digital version includes downloadable resources for addressing global citizenship and SEL topics in the classroom and at home. The book is mainly intended for children between 7 and 12 years old, but it can be enjoyed by children and adults of any age.

We aim to inspire conversations about: 
* The celebration and integration of diversity;
* Social solidarity towards those less favored;
* Empathy towards other beings different from us;
* Responsibility towards planetary sustainability;
* and validation of feelings of vulnerability and hope.

  This storybook will help children discover different relevant aspects of global citizenship, a topic that has been recognized as a priority for the curricula of a new educational paradigm.

Both authors are members of UNESCO's International Commission on the Futures of Education, and coauthors of the new report "Reimagining our Futures Together: A new social contract for education"
